Does an EZGO RXV Steering Wheel Fit a TXT?

An EZGO RXV steering wheel should not be assumed to fit an EZGO TXT just because both carts are made by E-Z-GO. The wheel, hub adapter, steering shaft and model-year hardware must all be compatible.

Why RXV and TXT fitment can differ

Aftermarket steering wheels are often sold separately from the hub adapter. A wheel may use a common bolt pattern, but the adapter that connects it to the steering shaft is usually the model-specific part.

What to check before swapping

  • Cart model and year: identify whether the cart is TXT or RXV and confirm the production range.
  • Hub adapter: verify that the adapter is listed for the target cart.
  • Wheel bolt pattern: make sure the steering wheel matches the adapter.
  • Depth and clearance: check dash and turn-signal clearance after installation.

Can the wheel itself sometimes be reused?

Possibly. Some aftermarket wheels share the same multi-bolt pattern and can be used on different carts when paired with the correct hub. That does not make the complete RXV steering-wheel assembly directly interchangeable with a TXT.

Bottom line: verify the hub adapter first. Do not buy based on wheel diameter or appearance alone.

Common mistake: buying by “EZGO” only

Listings that simply say EZGO may still separate TXT, RXV and Marathon fitment. Read the adapter notes carefully, especially when the cart has an aftermarket column, turn-signal assembly or previously changed steering wheel.

If you already own an RXV wheel

Identify the bolt pattern on the wheel itself and the adapter currently attached to it. In some cases the wheel can be moved to a TXT by changing only the hub adapter, but verify dimensions and hardware before disassembly.
